Somna I’m Anxious User Guide

Set it once when you are clear-headed. Later, when you feel keyed up or inwardly activated, just say: Alexa, I’m Anxious.
Somna can remember your preset, settings, Partner Mode, and recent playback.

Start here

If you are new, do this in order:

  1. Browse presets, or choose one directly.
  2. Optionally turn on Partner Mode if the room needs shorter, quieter responses.
  3. When you want support, say: Alexa, I’m Anxious.
  4. If you forget your setup, say: Alexa, ask I’m Anxious what are my current settings.

If you are not sure where to start, begin with quiet reset or browse the presets below.

When you use it

When you feel stressed, mentally tangled, physically braced, or inwardly urgent, say:

Alexa, I’m Anxious
(if the response is unexpected, go to All Commands for additional options.)

Somna uses your saved settings automatically.

Presets

Presets are the easiest way to start. You can also customize focus, length, style, and Partner Mode to create your own combination.

Quiet Reset

Best for racing thoughts, overstimulation, and needing a quieter inward shift.

Uses: quiet mind · short · quiet

Alexa, ask I’m Anxious to set preset to quiet reset

Body Settle

Best for physical tension, bracing, and nervous system activation in the body.

Uses: body calm · standard · grounding

Alexa, ask I’m Anxious to set preset to body settle

Soft Landing

Best for needing a gentle return to safety without pressure.

Uses: safe moment · standard · soft

Alexa, ask I’m Anxious to set preset to soft landing

Steady Return

Best for finding your footing again when urgency has taken over.

Uses: steady again · standard · grounding

Ease Down

Best for pressure, overstretch, and feeling like too much needs your attention.

Uses: release pressure · short · soft

Browse presets

You can browse through the presets one at a time before choosing one.

When you hear one you want, say:

Alexa, ask I’m Anxious to set preset to quiet reset

Partner Mode

Partner Mode is for shared spaces. When it is on, Somna keeps responses shorter and quieter.

Alexa, ask I’m Anxious to turn partner mode on Alexa, ask I’m Anxious to turn partner mode off Alexa, ask I’m Anxious is partner mode on

You can also say shared space mode:

Alexa, ask I’m Anxious to turn shared space mode on

Length

Length changes how much is said.

Alexa, ask I’m Anxious to set length to standard

Style

Style changes how the voice feels.

Alexa, ask I’m Anxious to set style to soft

Focus

Focus changes where the experience gently leads.

Alexa, ask I’m anxious to set focus to safe moment

Check your settings

If you want to hear everything currently selected, say:

Alexa, ask I’m Anxious what are my current settings

If you want to hear your current preset, say:

Alexa, ask I’m Anxious what is my preset

If you want to check Partner Mode, say:

Alexa, ask I’m Anxious what is my partner mode

Advanced setup

If you want to set several options at once, say:

Alexa, ask I’m Anxious to set my settings focus is quiet mind length is short style is quiet

This is optional. Presets are easier for most people.

The simplest path is still the best one: browse presets, choose one, and let the skill remember it.
